A New Way to Help Tesla Overcome Its Current Problems with a Song and a Game
It has been a few bad weeks for Tesla, as a result of the negative public reaction to Elon Musk, along with growing competition from other car manufacturers. According to the latest news reports, Tesla sales have experienced a significant decline globally, in the US as well as Europe and China. They are down 9% in the US compared to the first quarter of the year ago, and down 49% and 30% in Europe and China. According to the New York Times, this decline has occurred despite a generally positive trend for electric vehicle sales. A key factor pulling down sales is Elon Musk’s impact on the brand, because of his activities in slashing jobs and government agencies. There have even been some well-publicized burnings of Teslas to express anger at Musk and his company. Plus there has been increased competition from other EV manufacturers.
Well, there’s hope. In response to Tesla’s problems, there’s now a song, “I Love My Tesla,” designed to appeal to new markets. Also, there’s a card game in a book called Car Go!, which features the benefits of the Tesla, along with other car companies, in a game book designed to be educational and entertaining, without any affiliation with the top seven car companies in the game. Players attempt to create sets of cards featuring the cars, and they learn about the different car models along the way. The game publisher ALB Games is working on creating a series of these car games for particular companies, including Tesla, which will feature the benefits of the different car models for each company.
You can hear the song on YouTube at
. As the introduction to the song describes, “I Love My Tesla,” is a song in which the singer describes all the ways in which a Tesla is a really great car, such as a lower cost for fuel, a great sounds of music, and the way it stands out in a crowd. The video features images of people from all walks of life praising a Tesla. Thus, even though there has been some recent criticism of the company, the singer loves his Tesla and is standing by it, proud to be a Tesla owner. Whatever you think of Tesla, it’s a fun song designed to appeal to a broader market to help Tesla’s sales.
The Car Go! game is available on Amazon. While games have traditionally been published in boxes or produced as video games, this is a new approach – publishing games in a book, where players print and cut out the cards, and sometimes the board and game tokens, to play. This new approach to games in a book makes it much faster and cheaper to produce a game. In the past five months, the company has produced a line of over 80 card and party games, including games on travel, relationships, the environment, cars, crime, and more. It even has published games in Spanish for travel to Spanish-speaking destination, including Spain and Portugal, Mexico and Central America, South America, and Cuba and the Caribbean. The ALG Games website is at www.albgames.net.
The games have been developed by Gini Graham Scott, Ph.D., who used to be a full-time game designer in her 20s and signed games to major game publishers, including Parker Brothers and Hasbro Industries. About 5 months ago, she returned to designing games for ALB Games. Aside from creating games, she is a prolific writer, who has published more than 250 books, over 50 with traditional publishers; has written over three dozen award winning scripts, and has developed and produced 20 films released by major distributors.
